F. Michael Rommel, M.D.
Urological Associates of Lancaster has always continued to examine ways to provide appropriate care to the citizens of Lancaster County and identified an unfulfilled need in the pediatric patient population. In 1986, Dr. F. Michael Rommel was brought into the practice. Dr. Rommel is our urologist who specializes in Pediatric Urology. Pediatric Urologic problems are some of the most common of childhood conditions. Common medical conditions such as simple undescended testis and hernias are extremely prevalent occurring in 1 out of every 100 boys. Dr. Rommel realizes that the patient is the child, but attention must be given to the parents as well as the grandparents. Dr. Rommel spends a considerable amount of time with each family giving them the attention that is necessary to answer questions as well as to alleviate fears. Dr. Rommel received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Bethany College, in Bethany, West Virginia. He received his graduate degree from Jefferson Medical College from Philadelphia. He completed his residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. Dr. Rommel now serves as President of Urological Associates of Lancaster. In Dr. Rommel's spare time he enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife and three children.
